The Imitation Game at Chancery Lane

Let’s jump into a new scenery with the filming location of The Imitation Game at Chancery Lane. This is another very popular filming location in London. Altogether, this street has been used in multiple films and TV shows. Chancery Lane has a certain charm with the Law Society and the 19th-century neo-gothic Maughan Library building.

Wartime London

For now, I will remain at the wartime London scenery following my earlier post from the Old Royal Naval College. In The Imitation Game, Benedict Cumberbatch plays the role of Alan Turing. In this scene, he is seen cycling through London and entering a building. On the street is also a group of young children who are helped with putting on gas masks.

Chancery Lane is surrounded by office buildings and usually, the weekends are the best time for filming in the area. The Imitation Game also used one weekend to set up the scene with physical props and wrapped everything up before the workers and students flooded the streets.
